Hello,
I had previously upgraded to version 2020.2.0 but saw some high processor/memory usage. I proceeded to complete uninstall and installed the v2020.2.1 when I saw it released. However, I can no longer connect as was working before. I see in Wayk Dashboard the machine is 'Online Now'.
I attached the diagnostic from the client (portable Wayk Now).
Thanks to look into the matter
Regards,
Roshan.

Hello Roshan,
I looked your log and I would need server log to confirm what I think, but I'm pretty sure it is a timeout that occurs in WaykDen since your WaykNow server doesn't answer the request fast enough. If you could get the server logs and send it to us, we could confirm that it is the issue. We have planned to increase that timeout since we saw similar behavior in different cases but it is rare. If we could confirm that it is the issue, we will plan an update of our WaykDen server next week to fix that issue.
Meanwhile, you could try to do some change on the server side if it is possible. The WaykNow server doesn't answer the request fast enough probably because some routes are blocked by the firewall and it creates delays. If you would like to have a workaround for now, you could see if you could open those routes. A session will try to open 3 routes with our Devolutions Jet server : tcp connection on port 8080 and 80, and finally, wss connection on port 443. I understand that maybe you can't change your firewall rule. In a such case, the only way to workaround for now would be to rollback to an old version (since you said that it was working before) until we update the WaykDen server. We are sorry for inconvenience. We will plan an update this week to fix that.
Please send me your server log if you have access to it, I will try to confirm that it is the issue.
Best regards,
François Dubois
Hi Francois,
I'm impressed with the swift response. Please find attached the server log.
I've checked the firewall log and as far as I can tell, I can't see any in or out connections that were blocked wrt Wayk app.
For that matter, where can I find the previous versions of Wayk Now?
Best regards,
Roshan.

Hi,
It looks like the server could open the relay candidates, so the firewall is not the problem. We modified the logic to wait 2 seconds after the first successful relay candidate, and this seems to be what caused it to go over the current 5 seconds timeout we have in Wayk Den for that call. In other words, it is slower than what we normally see, but it should still work given a long enough timeout in Wayk Den that we will increase next week. We can see the server sending the response, but at that point the timeout in Wayk Den has already been reached, which is why it fails on the client.
In order to get the previous releases, here is our raw CDN URL:
https://cdn.devolutions.net/download/Wayk/2020.2.0.0/WaykNow-x64-2020.2.0.0.msi
Just edit the "2020.2.0.0" portion of the URL in both places to the version you'd like.

Hi,
Marvellous. I'm downloading previoud version right now.
Cheers,
Roshan
Tried it just now and it works!
Using version 2020.1.7.0, I see the connection and prompt for password come very fast.
Thanks.
Hi,
I am glad that it solved your problem! We will let you know when Wayk Den has been updated with a higher timeout, such that you can upgrade Wayk Now to the latest version again.
Best regards,
Marc-André Moreau
Hello Roshan,
I just want to let you know that Wayk Den has been updated with a higher timeout. You should be able now to use the latest Wayk Now version. Please upgrade Wayk Now to the latest version and let us know if you can open session with your remote computer, it should work.
Best regards,
François Dubois
