Wayk Den: Use groups better

currently groups seem to be only be used for permissions, but if you get a lot of computers, proper grouping can get very helpful very fast.
currently there doesnt seem to be a way to
1) auto assign many computers to a group (e.g. by using a different machine contributor)
2) filter server list based on anything beyond registration status.
would be kinda awesome to be able to actually use the groups for more stuff

For (1) I'll have to check with the Web UI team; but for (2) we're introducing a grouped view of servers and I believe it will be the default going forward. That work is already done for the RDM Dashboard and should be in the Web UI imminently.

VERY nice.I am having a large group at work already and finding the others that arent part of that group gets very fun very fast especially when you have only 10 laptops per page.
I would like to see this feature also...
Have there been any developments on adding the groups view?
Will this feature be in the self-hosted WaykDen also?

All new features are being added to the self-hosted Wayk Den product.
We already have modified our API to return the list of servers in groups, and have that integrated in the RDM Wayk dashboard view. As for the Wayk Den Web UI view showing machines by groups, it should be there in the next release (coming 1-2 weeks).
