especially when doing a ton of machines it would be kinda nice, if I could just slap them into the den normally and do the registration and group assignment and all after that in the den.
would be kinda cool.
Hello
We're currently working on automated enrolment: basically, you'll be able to generate an "enrolment token" in Wayk Den which might be just a string UUID or a full JWT depending on what information you care to encode in the token. It will then be possible to pass this to Wayk Now on the command line, e.g. `wayk-now enroll --den-url {den-url} --token-uuid {uuid}` and the machine will be registered in Wayk Den. ThIs completely removes the need to login on the computer and manually go through the registration process.
I don't have a firm timeframe for that - we're working on it now and it should hopefully be ready for the next release. I'll post back here with an update.
Let me know if you have any questions!

kinda cool but an inverse registration would also be pretty nice for example to retroactively register the laptops without taking them away or needing to disturb their owners in any way, which is especially nice if you for example fotgot to register them, or also helps with that you dont need to carry a kinda secret token around. just connect them all normally and do the rest at home or in your office (or home-office, lol)
Hello
Ah ok I understand what you mean now.
I'll make sure the Wayk Den team sees this suggestion. It's likely that in future we're going to start making more of a distinction between "registered" machines (what we have now) and "enrolled" machines (which will imply a higher level of control over the machine from the Den side). It's definitely possible that this is something we can look at for machine registration.
Thanks and kind regards,

okay? so basically there will then be 6 statuses in total:
not registered/not signed in
not registered/signed in
registered/not signed in
registered/signed in
enrolled/not signed in
enrolled/signed in
this is getting confusing kinda fast, lol.
especially since frankly I am not entirely distinguishing the 4 currently existing states of being on a den in the first place.
non-registered machines are especially "fun" considering you cant group them or anything really.
Hello again
I'm not making any comment on how such a differentiation might be structured internally or in the UI; just pointing out that future structural changes mean we might be able to support something for "Den-side" registration.
Thanks and kind regards,
Richard Markievicz
I see, just saying that even now I am already confused by the combination of being registered or not and signed in or not, and it all not being overly well documented at least last time I checked.
