RDM - Linux license problem

avatar

I participated in the RDM-Linux beta. Now I have removed the beta and installed RDM-Linux 2020.1.1.0 I requested a license and registered it in the application. However, I'm still unable to use almost all of the menu items or icons. Also, the use Registration from Devolutions Account kills the program. See attached error.

Rdm Linux is still beta, so that's probably why most of the icons aren't working (they are currently just placeholders)

Hello,
I will ask Jonathan to check this for sure. He will be able to help you. I know they are about to release another preview next week with more fixes and also MySQL data source. The team is working hard and thank you very much for your help. We plan to have an official release after the summer so there is still a lot of work to do. We try to prioritize what you use so let us know which features you need the most.

Hi,

As others have stated, RDM Linux is still an early preview and not all features are implemented.
I've taken a look at the log you provided. I would just like to confirm you we we using RDM Free when you tried to register using your Devolutions account?

Any change on this? I have an enterprise licence but i cant log in with the devolution account. the function is greyed out

Hi Rob,

RDM Linux should support all methods to register your license.
However, I'm not aware of a way to register an enterprise license using your devolution account.
You can either enter it directly in the registration window or use a data source.

Could you provide a screenshot of the greyed out option to make sure we are on the same page?

The Devolution Account button doesnt do anything. If i try clicking on it is does not function. In the windows version i can put my devolution account details in.
I have registered the product using the serial code supplied but i assuming that i would see the licence consumption in the devolution portal linked to my account. That does not seem to be the case.

Indeed, that feature hasn't been implemented yet.
I'll up the priority for this feature has this is something you would use.

Hi Rob,

The Devolution Account button has been implemented internally and will be part of our next update.
