Option to allow X for close to minimize instead of close

Hi! There is the natural tendency to click on the x to close Wyak ( or any other program), but obviously once done, Wyak is indeed closed. Could we add the option to choose to have the 'x' be mimimize rather that close? Thanks!

Hi Alberto

I'll enter the feature request and post back here once we have some news on that.

Thanks a lot for the feedback and kind regards,

I'd prefer a close = go to systray specifically (to save space on the task bar) but generally I agree

Hello

Just to make sure anyone reading this is aware, it's possible on Windows to *minimize* the client to the system tray ("Minimize main window to notification area" in the Options). I do understand that some applications allow you to "Close" the application to the system tray as well (and then truly exit by selecting e.g. File > Exit). We'll look into adding this.

Thanks and kind regards,

I had a difficult time finding this option Richard, so thank you. Perhaps it should be moved under the Options>General>Application Close section instead of the less intuitive Options>User Interface>TrayIcon/Taskbar section. That might make it eaiser for others to find.

Hello

Thanks for the feedback: indeed, it's not obvious. These things often grow in an "organic" manner. We'll look at restructuring and simplifying the layout.

With regard to the original question; it might be more straightforward for us to provide an option to just disable the "X" in the main application window, rather than repurpose it. This would prevent the natural tendency to "X" the application, retain support for things like Alt+F4, and "minimize" would become the only button (whose behaviour can already be controlled to send the application to the task bar or notification area).

Further feedback is welcome on the topic.

Thanks and kind regards,
