2x images in Waykden branding

the waykden branding options apparently only have 2x support for the mac icons, but images like the banner are only 1x, and apparently the den just uses the exact same images for 1x and 2x, and that leads to some weird behavior like the left banner image gets upscaled (but not in a pretty manner) but the right one stays as is making it look oddly small.

but kinda cool wayk downloads branding now.

Hello

Thanks for the bug report! After discussing this with the web UI team; in general the white label interface should take the large (2x) images and then downscale them to create 1x versions. This simplifies the UI somewhat and should work well in most cases (there shouldn't be a significant level-of-detail change between e.g. 64x64 and 128x128).

On the client side - on Windows, at least - if we only have a 1x variant, it will be scaled up-or-down to the desired size. If we have a 2x variant, it will be displayed as-is for 200% scaled displays, and scaled up or down for scale factors other than 100%.

A bug in the web UI can cause the 1x sized image to be set for *both* the 1x and 2x variants. A further bug prevents the 2x variant of the left-banner from being found in the manifest.json. So - based on the rules above, and the scale factor of your display, you may see incorrectly sized images and / or incorrectly scaled images (e.g. a 1x variant scaled up and made blurry, even though you uploaded a 2x sized resource).

I believe this will be fixed for the next release, and I'll post back here with an update on that. Sorry for the inconvenience and kind regards as always,

okay. although what also seems to be fun is that If I upload a zip where I switched out the wrong 2x for the correct one (as I have both on export from affinity designer so all is pretty easy to do) it doesnt seem to acknowledge that as well.

Hello again

I did check that with the team working on the web UI; the "Import" function repackages the uploaded archive so it's subject to the same bug. That said, I'm happy to say this is fixed internally and will be available on the next release. I'll post back here with an update.

Thanks and kind regards,
