Hi, it would be wonderful to be able to enter into a remote session without having the wayk icon show up on the bottom. even if this configuration can only be one via cfg in the remote computer. It would be one less distraction.
Thanks!
Hello
Thanks for the suggestion. I will raise the feature request internally, although I suspect it may be something we're hesitant to add - such a feature could be ripe for abuse, and it's an important requirement for a lot of users that they know their session is being "watched". Is there a specific reason to not want the sharing indications on the server, or it's simply an annoyance (which I can understand if, for example, you are using Wayk only to connect to "your" machines, VMs or what-have-you)?
Thanks and kind regards,
Richard Markievicz
I fully agree with Richard on this. if you are just remoting into your own machine granted the window can be a little annoying, but the fact you cannot just stealth in is something I very much like about wayk.
Thank you! yes, It is annoyance as i am remoting indeed to my own machines. Which by the way, they seem to get disconnected and I have to reconnect a few seconds later. Again, it does not need to be a configuration on the configuration screen, but rather, having to go to the cfg file to enable. And/or if there is a workaround of any sort. Thanks!

but even then this creates HUGE privacy implications, and if it's a cfg setting that doesnt nesecarily make it better since there's no quick way for a user to disable it.
if wayk would not give any indications of it running it could really hurt its status as a good remote help tool and turn it into surveillance malware, instantly grilled by most antiviruses. and I do NOT want that to happen.
Wayk has a few very awesome unique points for it (license model, full on premise hosting [or the option of no online at all if so desired]) and I do not want wayk to die just because some people dont like a teeny tiny window which says "hello someone is actually using wayk to remote into your PC right now".
I mean aside from actual self-admin tools like VNC are there many tools like this that run stealth? iirc both Teamviewer and Anydesk run always with their little window in place which not only shows you that a connection is running but also a quick quit button to terminate the session (in the unlikely event you win a mouse war)
heck even chrome remote, which has seperate options for access and support displays this thing when using access.
I honestly do not see why such a small window is such a problem. if it's in the way, just move it out of the way.
The request stands. Even if at least it is not a sore to the yes to have there. If the color on the bottom Wyak icon, next to the clock changes from connected to not connected and viceversa, then it is obvious it is there and yet not an interruption to work. Hope this makes sense.
Hi Alberto
I understand the description and the requirement. We'll look at ways we could satisfy this in the future - it is sensitive because of the scope for abuse, so I can't tell you if or when we'd make changes here, but your feedback will certainly be considered.

That doesn't sound normal - if you can send a log file we should be able to tell the reason for the disconnection. On the remote machine, open Wayk Now and choose Help > Export Diagnostics (or locate the file %programdata%\wayk\logs\NowService.log). You can send via PM or email to wayk@devolutions.net.
Thanks and kind regards,
