Hi,
Just updated to DVLS.2020.1.7.0 in my home lab and I get the following error.
The upgrade guide I followed was:
https://helpserver.devolutions.net/upgrade_rdms.html
Post upgrade I am unable to create new users or Applications (probably quite a bit more also) - please see attached screenshots:
Once I roll back to DVLS.2019.1.20.0 all is good
I have tried blowing alway the lab and the DB's and doing clean installs to the latest version with the same error - (no reg purge of keys\values, just uninstall software and deletion of files\folders)
As mentioned this is a test lab and is currently running sql express.
Kind regards
Panda
Hello,
The reason why you get those issues is because you have updated your DPS web instance to version 2020.1.7 using the DPS Console 2019.1.20. It is really important to follow these instructions to update DPS.
https://helpserver.devolutions.net/upgrade_rdms.html
For your information, the Invalid column name error message is because the SQL database hasn't been properly updated during the upgrade process. The new DPS Console 2020.1.x use a new method to update the database and that's why it is important to first upgrade the DPS Console to the correct version before upgrading the DPS web instance with the Upgrade Server button.
We also offer a free remote session to assist you during the upgrade process of your DPS instance. If you would like to book a session, please send an email at ticket@devolutions.net and we will send you a link to our online reservation system.

and to emphasize, we do not like when things break like that. We have a pending task to add a validation, ticket number DPS-4059, planned for version 2020.2 due in June.

no doubt here, I was pretty confident this would be a error on myside embaressingly enough.
Just for the record we are already using your product and have have been impressed with them.
I now find my self in a position where I have more interaction with DPS (historically just a classic techy with MS related products), hence the labbing up.
thanks again both.
Kind regards
