Hi,
any know issue about that?
It's happen to me from time to time and I can't catch the moment when it's happened.
It's look very random.

Hello
When it fails, are you connected to a physical machine or a VM? Are you doing anything out-of-the-ordinary like connecting to one machine, and then connecting from the machine to another (nested connections)?
We've recently identified an issue that could cause an intermittent failure of one or more virtual channels (clipboard, remote exec, file transfer, chat) although there seems to be quite specific circumstances for that occurring.
If you notice the issue again - on the remote system, please open the context menu on the Wayk Now tray icon and check the state of "Clipboard" under access control. Let us know the state of that menu item (if it is checked and / or enabled or disabled).
(I expect that you have clipboard access on the default - which is enabled. If the menu doesn't properly reflect that, it can tell us more about the issue)
Thanks and kind regards,
Richard Markievicz
Hey,
I did try remember when it's happen, but still didn't recognized any patter for it.
I jump between many hosts, sometimes have open 5+ computers at one moment.. I use RDM with tabbed wayknow, and sometimes when connection dosn't work at RDM I use waknow client and open connection.
Ok, I'll back with feedback.

Hello
There are scenarios where clipboard integration is known to fall over, particularly where the clipboard integration "fights" with another kind of clipboard integration (for example, if you are connected to a VM on the same host computer that implements it's own clipboard integration).
What you are doing sounds like it shouldn't be a problem, however it will be tricky to find the problem without a clear repro case. From our side, I will look at the logging in the clipboard functionality and see if we can highlight any problems that might be occurring. I'll post back in this thread with any changes we make.
Thanks and kind regards,
Richard Markievicz
Hi,
ok, Im able reproduce issue - it's happen today for me and I was able make connections at the same way and I know when it's happen.
The short way:

Hello again
Thanks for the detailed repro steps. We'll take a look into that and post back here with an update.
Thanks again,
Richard Markievicz
One more example when it's stop work.
I used RDM.

Hey Kris
Thanks for the updated repro.
From our side; Wayk Now attempts to synchronize the clipboard at all times, even if it is not the active application. This really leads to problems when other applications (most likely another remote access or virtualization software) are also trying to synchronize the clipboard at the same time. What you see is that once the clipboard sync gets into a bad state, it is hard to recover from, and that's why it stops working completely in your session.
We have a work item pending now as a first step to only synchronize the clipboard while the Wayk session is active (and of course, update the clipboard state when Wayk is brought back into focus). We think that this will alleviate a lot of those issues. I'm not sure if those changes will be in 2020.2.0, but if not, they should follow in a minor release shortly afterwards. I'll post back here with some more info on that, but just to let you know we are working on it.
Thanks a lot for your patience and best regards as always,
Richard Markievicz
Hello,
one more funny trick from today... I wasn't able copy&paste, but I was able copy from my computer and use option "write from clipboard" :)
You know.. from my perspective my work look like:
Don't worry I was sure that team work about this.. I need only wait a moment :)
Till now all of you resolve almost every problem what I have so... patience is a key ;)
Cheers

Hello
I was able copy from my computer and use option "write from clipboard"
Yes, actually that's a good workaround in this case - "write from the clipboard" doesn't actually use the clipboard virtual channel. It sends the contents of your clipboard as keystrokes to the remote machine. The length of the string is limited to 256 characters but for most copy-paste cases we'd expect that to be sufficient.
I'll post back here when I have some information to share
Thanks again,
Richard Markievicz
Hi Kris
Wayk Now 2020.2.1 will be released later today, and contains some reliability improvements for the clipboard. The changes are all client side, so I'm afraid if you're using RDM you'll have to wait a little bit longer for a fix there - we're tracking that internally and I'll post here again with an update. But hopefully you should see improvement when using the Wayk Now client and I'd encourage you to post again if things still aren't reliable.
Thanks and kind regards
