Not sure if bug or feature, but would there be a way to save or at least allow the user to see the chat window after a Wayk Now session has been closed? Right now it disappears upon disconnect. Sometimes I like to leave instructions on a users desktop but I cannot do this.
Hi Martin
The chat window is purposefully closed at the end of a session, but there's no technical reason for doing that and I understand why it could be beneficial to leave it open. I'll enter a work item to add some improvements here as we could allow an option to keep the window open in a "disconnected" / read-only condition.
In the meantime, if it's helpful, chats are logged into text files by default. On the remote machine, the default location will be
%appdata%\wayk\logs\chathistory-incoming
In that director you will find timestamped text files with chat text.
Hope that helps,
Richard Markievicz
Thanks for the quick reply. I wasn't aware of the chat log on the remote pc.
Hi Martin
Just to expand on that a little further - the path for for the log files is configurable by the user. For example, you'll find it in Options > Advanced.
Thanks and kind regards,
