File overwrite without warning

avatar

Hi,

I didn't wrote long time, cus I didn't have almost any problems - gj! :)

But... today I did transfer some file from customer computer to me, and overwrite by accident my local file with the same name at download directory.
It was happen without any warning :(

Wayknow should check if transferred file exist at remote site and if exist add numbers like windows do (1) or something like that instead of overwrite.

Hi,

I agree this can be frustrating, we'll open a ticket to append a number to the file name and avoid an accidental overwrite.

Hello again

Just to let you know, that we have implemented a fix for this. That will be available in the next release of Wayk Now, and I'll post back here once it's available.

Hello again

Wayk Now 2020.1.4 is now available, and adds a fix for this issue. If the transferred filename collides with an existing file, an incrementing identifier will be appended (e.g. "filename - 2.extension").

If you have any questions or feedback regarding that, please don't hesitate to post back here.

Thanks and kind regards,

Richard Markievicz
