Asking for Master Key so much is annoying

After switching from Lastpass, I find it extremely annoying I have to constantly enter in the master key for both the web version and Chrome plugin. Master key should be retained for at least 7 days before asking.

Thank you for your feedback. We are currently looking into ways to reduce the amount of times the master key is requested. We will keep you posted.

Should be like RDM with PSK, enter once, then can use two factor every time to log in again. With the 2FA app it would be a breeze compared to finding the master key, copying it, pasting it every time.

Furthermore, we plan to release this feature with the next major release of Hub planned for June 2020. A blog post will be made with more details soon.

Hi,

For your information, the blog post is up.
https://blog.devolutions.net/2020/04/covid-19-devolutions-password-hub-free-trial-extended-to-90-days

Plus, our team is working on some significant upgrades for the next version, which should be available in the summer of 2020. Here is what you can look forward to:
Ability to connect to Devolutions Password Hub as a data source through Remote Desktop Manager (RDM)
Ability to add all connection types from RDM into Devolutions Password Hub
Remove the need of a master key when connecting to Password Hub
Add support for folders
Add documentation page history
Improve encryption with an open source library developed by our security team (learn more)

Have a good day!

Hi,

I just saw same question on password hub forum. Being sad the ticket is opened doesnt`t bring hope when I saw this...

Maybe in a year or two.

Hello,

In order to help you, here's a few questions:

  1. Are you using Password Hub Personal or Business?
  2. Are you using the web client (directly from the browser), Devolutions Web Login (DWL; the browser plugin) or Remote Desktop Manager (RDM)?

Thank you, have a good day!

Hi,

The master key mentioned by the the original poster never existed with Password Hub Personal and was in an old Hub Business version and since October 2020 the master key is not asked anymore.

Just to understand correctly, do you want to be "automatically" connected in Devolutions Web Login when you connect with the web client (directly from the browser at hub.devolutions.com) and vice versa ? (Connected to the web client when you connect with Devolutions Web Login)

Or you want to stay connected after you close the browser and open it again like the request below:

Hi Oliver,

This would be the best solution for the moment:

Or you want to stay connected after you close the browser and open it again like the request below:
https://forum.devolutions.net/topics/35360/google-chrome-logging-out-from-weblogin-on-exit

I would like to stay connected even if I close browser and reopen it in lets say couple od hours...

Thanks for help.
