Devolutions Server 2019.2.12.0: Windows Authentication fails

avatar

Hello

I just updated to Devolutions Server Version 2019.2.12.0 (for testing RADIUS, which is also not working), but the other issue is: Windows Authentication does not work anymore if 2FA is enabled.

I just get these messages:

Authentication with Username / Password is working fine.
When I disable 2FA (Google Authenticator), Windows Authentication is working fine too.

Best regards, John

Hello,

As I understand, you encounter these error messages when Google 2FA is enabled. Am I correct?

Do you encounter the same issue via the web interface of DPS?

Hello,

We have been able to reproduce your issue internally. A ticket has been sent to our engineering department. For your information, the internal ticket number is DPS-3893. Once an update will be available, we will keep you posted.

In the meantime, the workaround to keep the Google 2FA is to set the username and password in the data source configuration.

Hello,

The Windows Authentication combined with 2FA issue in RDM as been resolved internally. This fix will be available in DPS and RDM version 2020.1.x that should be released by the end of February.

Hi,

the new RDM Version 2020.1.10.0 is out now, but it did not solve the problem for us.
2FA is still not working. In addition the windows authentication is not working at all.

Is there any configuration which must be done in addition? We only updated the RDM.

Ingo

Hi,

sorry, windows authentication works if 2FA is disabled.
But anyway, the 2FA is not working.

Hi Ingo,

The fix is available with DPS 2020.1.x the issue was not a client (RDM) related.

The new DPS should be available in Beta soon. We will keep you informed when it will be available.
