We welcome user contributed translations for the application.


In case you want to take that on, I've attached the current English language file here. Since Polish is not listed in the UI options, you can rename the file to "fr.json" and copy it to %APPDATA%\Wayk\locales\fr.json" and then select "French" as your language in the options window. From there, you can edit the fr.json file and restart Wayk Now to see your Polish translations.

If you supply us with the translated language file, we can integrate it into a future release of the application.

Maybe new functionalities will also appear in a newer version, such as setting a password to change the program settings or other useful additions.

I'm sorry for the late reply.

Unfortunately, it's not possible to use Devolutions Localizer with Wayk Now. The localizer works on .NET resource files; Wayk Now is written in native code and uses JSON formatted resources. We do have some developer tooling to assist in generating localizations, but contributions must still be made by editing the .json language file directly. JSON is a simple text format and easily modified in text editors or any number of online tools.

If you're still keen to contribute Ukrainian translations, I've attached the current English language file here as a starting point. You can modify it and test your changes by following the steps in my original answer to the OP. Once it's ready, submit the localization to us and we can include it in the application.

I tried to translate the file, I took the English localization, renamed it to Ukrainian, added a line with uk to the localization, but nothing changed. The line selection did not appear in the corresponding menu. Maybe somewhere else you need to specify a new localization file?

We have to update the list of supported localizations on our side. For testing, try to replace an existing localization:

• Rename your file to fr.json
• Copy it to %APPDATA%\Wayk\locales\fr.json
• Select "French" as your UI language in Wayk Now and restart the application

From there, you can edit your fr.json and restart Wayk Now after making changes to see the results.

Once you're happy with a partial or complete translation, send it to us and we'll integrate it full (providing the Ukrainian choice in the languages menu and so on)
