Create Shortcuts For Checked Out Sessions

Hi,


We are using VM links in combination with the auto checkout feature in RDM. That enables us to show the users if someone is working on the VM or if the VM is available. For these VM links, we create shortcuts in folders for specific customers that can be supported by using the VMs. When we want to add a new customer and link the VMs, we cannot create shortcuts if a user is currently working on the VM without checking the entry in manually (which would mark the VM as available and confuse users…).


Do we have any options to create the shortcuts without checking in?

Hello,
Unfortunately the way our shortcut works does not allow this. We need to edit the entry to add the shortcut. We could allow the shortcut creation when the entry is checkout but this will edit and save the entry.

Thanks for the support.
Concerning "We could allow the shortcut creation when the entry is checkout but this will edit and save the entry." - does that mean that there is no current option to force this creation? So that would be a feature request, right?
