When in a split-screen RDM instance, and I open a RDP entry that is set to 'smart-reconnect', the window does not resize itself to fit the window properly. I also tried using 'current work area size' and 'current screen size' with the same result.
Hello,
I can't seem to replicate the issue at the moment. The smart reconnect works as expected with the "Default", "Current work area size" and "Current Screen Size" options. In order to give me a better idea of what we are working with, I have a few questions.
Best regards,
Gabriel Degrandpré
This occurs with all RDP sessions that are open in the left half/pane of RDM (Probably occurs on the right too, but things don't open their by default. (is this possible?)).
Manually selecting 'reconnect' does properly resize the window. Would you like a recording of the issue?
If only one session, no issue.
Additional note - not sure if this is related, but I had another issue with the navigation resizing itself everytime I hit the 'File' menu. See DEVO-2124. This issue was never resolved.
Hello,
I will check but I suspect that a resize event is not called.

David Hervieux
Hello,
We made a few changes for the smart reconnect on open that will be available in RDM Beta 2019.2.7.0. With those changes, I'm unable to reproduce the issue.

Thanks! Will test and report back.
This is partially fixed. The first time I open the RDP session on the left pane, it is irregularly sized again. It attempts a reconnection at login, so if the logon is still in process, the reconnect disconnects the session. I have to open it 2/3x before it successfully logs in, resizes, and stays open.
In some cases, the session will not remain open at all. I have to open it externally.
Thank you for the update Martin, we will ask our QA to try and reproduce the issue, since we haven't been able to reproduce this after the change.

@Martin_
Hi,
Because of the many possibilities to reproduce this issue, we'd like you to give us a video recording of how you reproduce the problem.
Best Regards,
Jonathan Iannone
I've uploaded a video showing the behavior.
Hello,
Thank you for this recording. I will provide it to our QA Department right away!
Best regards,
James Lafleur
A thought - my RDP sessions (in this case) are set to log off at disconnect. Is the resizing at logon forcing the disconnect?
Hello,
Our QA department was able to reproduce your issue thanks to your video. We will try to work on this as soon as we have the resources.
Regards,
Hubert Mireault
Thank you.
