Looking to see if Wayk Now can replace GoToAssist for unattended access and possibly remote live support, but need to know how to manage unattended clients - is it RDM or another interface Wayk Den?
Thanks.
Hi Brent,
If I understand you correctly, you are asking two different things, which I will answer separately:
1) Can Wayk Now be used for unattended access?
The Wayk Now 3.0 beta offers initial support for unattended access to a Windows machine. Once the unattended service is installed on the Windows machine, it is possible to connect to it at any time using Windows credentials for a user member of the Administrators or Remote Desktop Users group. If a user is logged in with the Wayk Now program running, the "attended access" authentication methods will be available (generated password, prompt for permission, and invitation links). In other words, if you have the unattended service installed, Wayk Now will not require elevated privileges, but it will work correctly with special cases like the UAC prompt, the screen saver, the lock screen, the login screen, the task manager and elevated processes.
2) Can Wayk Now be used as a replacement for GoToAssist for remote live support?
I don't know GoToAssist specifically, but we are constantly improving our feature set to correctly cover such use cases. One thing we are currently working on that many users have asked is the potential to rebrand Wayk Now (white label). If you can make a list of features you are looking for, I should be able to provide a more detailed answer.

Marc-Andre - I was not asking about Wayk Now ability to replace GoToAssist, that is for me to determine but I was trying to understand how to setup and connect to a Wayk Now running in unattended mode.
I have the email response to the support request as well.
Summary:
1) Install unattended mode using Admin/RDP group member account.
2) Record ID for client.
3) Open Wayk Now client and enter recorded ID to connect.
No way to add to RDM a Wayk Now unattended connection at this time?
Thanks
Hi Brent,
Your summary is correct. Wayk is integrated in RDM, but the current version does not yet support the new authentication mode available with the unattended mode. However, it should be available in the next RDM release (RDM 14). In the meantime, you can test using RDM Wayk, but you will only be able to authenticate using the personal password that is available only when a user is logged in with Wayk Now running. The alternative is to test using the standalone Wayk Now client to authenticate using the Windows account until the next RDM release.

Marc-Andre,
I am having issues configuring RDM 14.0.4.0 64 Bit to connect to Wayk Now 3.0 unattended. I can connect using the Wayk client without problem using Secure Remote Delegation. Those settings in RDM result in "ConnectCore Failed"
Any thoughts?
Raphael
Hi Raphael,
This is indeed not normal. We will take a look into it. Does it work if you restart RDM?

Marc-André Moreau
I've got the same issue doing a reboot of rdm it will throw up one of two messages.
ConnectCore failed: The authentication sequence has failed or
ConnectCore failed: The target hostname could not be resolved.
from then on it will just say ConnectCore failed. And can connect to computers fine currently with the Wayk
Hi Raphael,
During our last discussion, you mentioned you would try reinstalling RDM completely to see if the problem went away. Did you get a chance to try it?
