So ive been hoping Wayk would get better as time went by but im still not able to use it anyway other than LAN to LAN, I want to use it to remote clients using wayk den. What FQDN or IPs do i need to create firewall rules for?? I am behind Sophos XG but i have tried setting up rules. what else other than den.wayk.net do i need?

Hi John,

The first thing that needs to be enabled is an outgoing WebSocket connection to den.wayk.net (port 443, like HTTPS, but it is encrypted WebSocket traffic). This connection is used to communicate with other peers and coordinate the peer-to-peer connection, which is done using the same protocol stack as WebRTC (ICE/STUN/TURN). These NAT traversal protocols use a different UDP port each time, so it is not as simple as allowing a specific UDP port. I don't know much about Sophos XG, but my guess is there is probably an option that recognizes this type of traffic which is standard for NAT traversal.

Can you tell me how far you can currently get? Can you get the green light indicating that you are connected to Wayk Den, but peer-to-peer connection always fail? If they do fail, can you describe when and how?
