is there a plan to offer a self hosted "Den" so as not to load Devolution's servers with Wayk Now sessions?
Well, From Devolutions roadmap
Summer 2018: Wayk Den On-PremisesOur new on-premises Wayk Now server called “Wayk Den” should be ready by the end of the summer. Stay tuned for more information.
Hi Raphael,
Yes, a version of Wayk Den on premises is planned to be ready by the end of the summer. With Wayk Now 2.0 we offer access to a cloud version of Wayk Den that we host ourselves, but the plan is to offer Wayk Den as software that can be deployed on your own infrastructure. Let us know if there is anything specific you are looking for in a self-hosted Wayk Den product, aside from the fact that it could be installed on premises.
Best regards,
-Marc-Andre

- The possibility for a self-hosted Wayk Den product will be available end of the summer. How much will this impact our license cost?
@sebastiaan,
I would recommend contacting our sales department at sales@devolutions.net regarding the pricing of our products.
Best regards,

Hi guys,
Checking on the status of the self hosted Wayk Den.
Thanks
Raphael
Hi Raphael,
We don't have a good answer at this time, we will have a better idea after the holidays. There is a lot of development happening and we definitely wish to bring it to market as soon as we can.
If you are interested, we could schedule a phone call some time next week to discuss this new product. Your input would be valuable in helping us delivering a first version that is in line with what customers like you really need to get started.
Best regards,
Marc-André Moreau
Marc-Andres,
Thank you for the opportunity to offer ideas on the Den... Frankly, I do not not know what I can offer... From a reply email to my previous question about pricing, I saw that it would be a product with a price tag. I was hoping that it would be included in the price of Wayk Now Enterprise.
It would be nice not to have to maintain a windows desktop (or server) online to handle Wayk clients... a linux install, be it an ISO we can install or an easy way to install the Den application on CentOS or Ubuntu Server would be great.
I see the use of a self hosted Den as an added layer of security where we could be confident that only trusted clients can initiate a connection (I might handle that through my firewall or as a setting on the application). Clients (servers) could connect freely if they have the IP or URL of the Den. The addition of a Den Password could help eliminate rogue clients.
I'd be happy to speak with you if you wish... my Cell number is
Thanks
Raphael
Hello Raphael,
I have removed your cell phone from the post but Marc André will have it from the reply email.

David Hervieux
Hi Raphael,
It's a bit too late today for a phone call, but if it is okay with you I will try reaching you tomorrow. Just looking at your last comments, I think there is enough to trigger an interesting discussion on the future of Wayk Den. I am mostly interested in getting your input on how you see the product and what kind of problems you would like to solve with it. As for deployment options, I think I understand what you are looking for, but I would need to validate potential options that we have on the table with you.
Best regards,
Marc-André Moreau
How can I get updated on this as well?
Mike Adams
Hi Mike,
We don't have anything to announce yet, but I would be happy to schedule a call with you to discuss the upcoming Wayk Den product. This is the same offer I made Raphael two weeks ago, let me know if you are interested.
Best regards,
Marc-André Moreau
Marc would it be possible to schedule a call to discuss Wayk Den availability and product features? We are a current RDM customer and currently use UltraVNC and GoToAssist for local and remote support. We are currently evaluating Wayk Enterprise and would like to discuss the Cloud and on-premises solutions for the Den product.
Hi Mark,
I have sent you a private message, you can reply and we'll schedule a call.
Best regards,
Marc-André Moreau
Thanks Marc, I'm available all day and can be reached at XXX-XXX-XXXX (edited)
Thanks
Hi Mark,
I took note of the phone number and edited your last post to avoid leaving it in public. I will call you later today, hopefully before noon.
Best regards,
Marc-André Moreau
Are you guys still looking for feedback on the proposed on-prem solution? I have some requests.
Hi, you can send an email to wayk@devolutions.net with your contact info and we'll schedule a call this week.
