Hello Support Team,
just tried to Power On a VM and get the error shown in the screenshot. I have a running enterprise license, what else do I need?

Hi
Using the VMWare vSphere client, what do you see in your hosts Configuration -> Licensed Features?
Maurice
Product: VMware vSphere 5 Hypervisor License for 2 physical CPUs (unlimited amount of cores per CPU)
License Key: xxxxxxxxxxxxxx
Expires: Never
Product Features:
32GB RAM
8-way-virtual SMP
And the same action works from within vSphere?
Maurice
Yes. I tried it once more with a test VM. I can switch on and off with the vSphere Client, but using RDM shows the error message I sent before.
well, I experience the same issue. I'm looking into it.
Maurice
Ok, waiting for your reply
Hi
I get the error while using the PowerCLI cmdlets so the error is not in RDM.
Dont worry, we wont stop looking.
There were 3 updates that could be applied, and they already corrected some issue with the same error message, so I'm going thru the painful process of applying them and I'll let you know what happens.

Hi
I'm having a conversation in the VMWare forums and the best I have for now is that there was a bug in ESXi that allowed the Power CLI to perform operations that is shouldnt have been able to.
I'll follow up as soon as I have more news.
Maurice
Thanks for investigation.
