Make favorites manageable lists like playlists

I was wondering if you could make favorites behave just like playlists with being able to categorize local shared or private and be able to put names and descriptions to them.
With our RDM list getting so large we just want to make team favorite views with just the essential sessions. Playlists are great but sometimes we do not want to open all the sessions.

Maybe you should change the name in Menu to Custom Views maybe instead of favorites. Not sure or maybe favorite lists. Just Favorites alone does not describe the feature if you make it manageable like playlists.

This is already on my todo to make the favorite view more custom. I'm not sure if I will be able to do it form RDM 12 but I will try.

How about to make easy you converge the playlists and favorites. Just keep playlists but make an option to run all in dashboard. That way in its playlists normal state it acts as a favorite list or view. Only if someone hits the Play all button in dashboard will it then open all. Just a thought. I am trying to understand if there is a difference from the two lists favorites and playlists. Plus the features and options in context menu is getting large and confusing to team members a little simplification and consolidation might help.
I like the idea of a playlist special dashboard. Do you have any suggestion to simplify the context menu? You can already remove some entries in File->Options | User Interface - Context Menu

Hello,
The dashboard for the playlists will be revamped in the next version of RDM. It will show you the list of entries in that playlist and you will be able to open the selected entries (or choose the root and it will open all of them like before).

I do not see this option yet. using version 11.7.6.0. I do not see how put playlists in the dashboard. Also when I look at playlists I can still only run them all.
