Password Manager Pro integration?

avatar

Hi,

We have two groups that currently use PMP to store their passwords. I'm investigating if we can consolidate and have everyone use RDM/PVM for that instead.
I saw this page which talks about being able to create PMP entries from within RDM/PVM:
http://help.remotedesktopmanager.com/index.html?howto_passwordmanagerpro.htm

However, is there any way to do an import from PMP into PVM or anything like that? Or can you view your PMP entries from within PVM? Maybe there's a different article or video or something I just didn't find yet.

Thanks.

Hello,

It's not possible to link PVM with PMP. It's only possible to link RDM with PMP.

Do you know if you can export your data from PMP in a .csv file?

If yes, it would be possible to import your data from PMP in PVM or RDM following our Import Strategies topic
http://help.remotedesktopmanager.com/importcsv_strategies.htm

We are using the full RDM program. I posted here since it's regarding the Password portion of the program. What does the link actually do?

I'm not sure how much we can export directly from PMP.

Hello,

After that you have created the API user in PMP and the PMP user in RDM, you can create a Password Manager Pro credential entry. This link RDM to PMP.

This credential entry is used to get the credentials list from PMP.

So this lets me view all the passwords stored in PMP from within RDM?

That's what's not mentioned in the help article I was looking at:
http://help.remotedesktopmanager.com/index.html?howto_passwordmanagerpro.htm

Hello,

The passwords that you will view will depend on the access that you have provided to your API user in PMP.
