Unable to do Multisuer Setup
Hi,
We are using password valut manager enterprise, we want to use it for Multiple user with access permission for that we followed the following steps
1) Installed SQL Server 2008 and Password Manager Enterprise in one Window server
2) Added the data source
3) Created users (integrated security) and security groups also
4) after that unable to proceed for client installations.
Is there any separate package or software is there for client installation.
After defining the different users, i found that PVM is not asking for username and password anywhere

Hi,
If you use the integrated security, SQL Server use the window user. It's not possible to specify the username/password. You can create a separate login in SQL Server if you want to be prompted for the username/password

Thanks for your reply Mr.David. I am unable to understand the concept behind this. A simple question

If you create the users in PVM with the checkbox integrated security PVM uses the windows account to manage the rights. these windows accounts must be able to have access to the PVM Database at the SQL Server. What exactly is the problem with the client setup?

Server side i am ok. Coming to client installation, is there any separate package has to install? I installed PVM and configured the database. is it right method?

I really need help with this. Maybe this is not the right product for us. I was looking for a username/password repository for a small business - 3 to 4 computers/devices max. I set up PVM on my computer but now need to expand it to other computers. I am not technically inclined although I can follow directions very well. All the technical terms here are confusing to me. Is this not the right product for our use purpose? If it is, are the easy, step by step instructions on how to add/access the program on other computers?

I think that's the right product. You need to install SQL Server Express or mySQL. I'm not sure which one is the easiest.
