Offline Mode

Really liking the iOS app for PVM. Great job guys!

One request I think would be a crucial feature to add is Offline Mode. This is especially useful when you have hosted SQL or any sort of whitelist for access to your database which requires you to enter in allowed IPs that can access the database.

When you are mobile/out of the office, which is very often with a mobile iOS device, it would make sense to access the database offline.

I hope that makes it in and keep up the good work!

Hi,

The offline mode is already implemented.

You can follow these instructions to activate it: http://helpandroid.remotedesktopmanager.com/howto_usetheofflinemode.htm

Thanks for the reply Olivier. What I meant was to implement offline support in the iOS app. We have it enabled across all Windows laptops already.

Hi,

In iOS, you need to edit your data source and in the Advanced Settings in the field Offline mode select Read-only to enable it.

Right now, the iOS app supports the offline mode but you can't go in offline mode manually. When the data source is unable to connect, you should have a popup that is asking if you want to go offline. If you checked the field "Auto go offline" in the data source configuration, it should go in offline mode automatically.

Thanks! I missed the Advanced Settings tab when editing the data source. It works great!
