v4.0.0 Windows 8 issues

I have no idea what changed from version 3.9.5.0 to the actual 4.0.0 one but I had to revert back to the old version as the v4 release is extremely unresponsive in Win8 which means it needs a lot of time to open and about 10-20s for each click I do within the UI.

Interestingly it doesn't seem to consume a lot of RAM or CPU, it's just sluggish.

What type of data source do you use?

I'm using the Enterprise Edition but in this case it's a xml Datasource.

However I was able to track down the issue. It's an issue between the Password Vault Manager and the newest version of AuthenTecs Protector Suite 2012. http://support.authentec.com/Downloads/Windows/ProtectorSuite.aspx

If I close the ProtectorSuite service everything works as expected, as soon as I start the service again the Password Vault Manager slows down and starts consuming more and more RAM over time. (In about 1h it grew from 56MB to about 500MB without even using the software).

I still have no idea why it happens but I can live without the Protector Suite quite well ;)
