RDM 8 Database with RDM Mac?

Hi,

We're currently using RDM8 enterprise in our company and I've just installed the beta for mac, so there is my question.
To avoid any problem with the DB I made a copy on our SQL Server (MSSQL) to test the upgrade process without messing up the working release on our Windows computers.
Update process just finished successfully but when I select the Datasource nothing happens and its just shown as "Not connected".
The "test server" and "test database" is ok, and I'm using built-in account to connect (not AD).

What am I doing wrong?

Thanks in advance!

Best regards,

Ludovic

Hi,

I've just saw the error message in the log file:

There is nothing else in the log, just the first lines about the database upgrade.

Hope this helps you to figure out where the problem is.

Thanks!

Hi,

The message in the log file tells me that you are using a security provider with your SQL datasource.
Unfortunately, we don't currently support security provider with the Mac version.
It's at the top of our list and we will get back to you as soon as we fix the situation

Thank you

Do we need to upgrade the database? I am able to test the server and database connection successfuly, but no connection and the log (thanks for the link above) show this:

11/12/2013 4:06:44 PM]ERROR SILENT System.Data.SqlClient.SqlException: Login failed. The login is from an untrusted domain and cannot be used with Windows authentication.

Hi,

Your problem is the windows authentication. You need to use a username and password from your sql server.
The windows authentication is currently on our list of things to do.

Thanks for your feed back.
