Good morning,

We are working on a Citrix server based on Server 2016 and RDM is crashing randomly.

Can you please help us on fixing this issue?

Searched the forum and found the following:

- Run SFC: no problems found
- Run .Net repair tool: only found reregister installer service (didnt do this)
- Tried x64 and x86 exe and both got same issue

Here are 2 logs i found:

RDM log:

Hello Wesley,

We get this crash randomly with other customer and we had searched for the problem. We found that users ask for credentials when they start a session.

So the question might be strange but it is very important to confirm with users. When starting a session, it can be all the sessions or only 2-3 configure. Have you a prompt asking for Windows credentials manage.

Mainly this is a session with Default as credentials type and nothing in the username and password field.

We found that if an application, RDM or competitors software, try to connect to a target machine and that your server is requested for credentials. Then the Windows server just crashes with an ntdll.dll error.

Best regards,

Im working this morning and it crashed 4 times now.

With every crash there isnt a Credential Manager pop up.
The only thing i and others here notice is that when you use copy paste in the session or copy username password, rdm wil crash sometimes.

There arent any other popups that comes when opening a session.

Even now it crashed again.

I just copied something in Notepad++ on my laptop and RDM crashed again.
The copy part was outside RDM and it stil crashed!

Thanks for the information,

How many users are connected on the citrix server?
What is the Citrix version and the Citrix Receiver version?
