Vault Name

When I create a vault, i can give it name. But nevertheless the vault has no name in its properties.

1. is the a special reason to have two different properties "name" ?

2. is the the possibily to set the vault name in properties by Powershell script to the same name like the vault name is ?

It appears nicer in the vault tree, if the vault name is set.

Hello,

In fact, the Name property that is displayed in the Vault Settings dialog is the name of the Root folder. When it's empty, RDM will display the name of the data source with the vault name between parenthesis. If you set the root folder name, than this information will be displayed

It is indeed possible to set the Root folder Name property with PowerShell. The Get-RDMRootSession and Set-RDMRootSession can be used to set the Root Name property.

To avoid confusion, I have deleted my previous answer about the UI issue as it's not an issue. But, we will improve this dialog by changing the label name to Root Name.

Hello,

For your information, in the next RDM version 2020.1, the label is set as Root name when you open the properties of a Root folder.
