Login issues - Firefox 70.0 with Password Plugin

  • Create an Issue
  • Cancel

Happens from time to time when users login to Devolutions Password Server (Webb-interface), as soon as you enter the credentials, you get logged in and then 2 seconds later you get kicked out and have to login again.

Happens only in Mozilla Firefox 70.0 with the Browser Password Plugin enabled.

As soon as we disable it, it works.
Not for all users, but for most. We havent been able to find one common thing that casues it.
Doesnt produce any specific logs other than successful login.

Hello,

Which user account type are experiencing this issue? Is it standard user account or even administrators are experiencing this problem too?

For your information, to raise the debug level, you will have to enable the Log Debug Information option in Administration - Password Server Settings - Logging.
https://helpserver.devolutions.net/webinterface_logging.htm

Could you please ask one of these users to connect on the web interface and then navigate through each vault and see if he will be disconnected on a specific vault?

Best regards,

Hello Erica,

We have the Log Debug Information enabled but it doesnt give us anything extra.
We noticed that we can login and as log as we don't click anything we will stay logged in.
But as soon as we try to navigate anywhere, we get kicked.

Its only normal users so far that have reported the issue

Hello,

Thank you for the information.

Unfortunately, I cannot reproduce this issue when using the DWL browser extension connected to a DPS version 2019.1.20 with a standard account. And I am using Firefox 70.0.

Is it possible that this could be a permission issue or corrupted entries in the database?

I think it will be easier to investigate this problem during a remote session. Please send an email to ticket@devolutions.net and we will send you an invite to book an appointment through our online reservation system.

Best regards,
