SSH shell - 'Ctrl + Arrow' to move cursor word-by-word

Hi,

Is is possible to enable the 'Ctrl + Arrow key' keyboard shortcut for SSH sessions to move the cursor word-by-word instead of letter-by-letter?
It used to be possible with the deprecated SSH session, where we could replace the PuTTY SSH application with KiTTY.

RDM version 14.1.3.0. Release notes does not seem to include this feature.

Thank you.

Hello,

In RDM 14.1.3.0, our SSH Shell integration is based on Putty. If it's working in Putty, it should be possible to make it work in RDM.
You are using RDM 14.1.3.0 right?

Are enabling a specific option in Putty to make this work?

Best regards,

Hi Jeff,

It does not work in PuTTY but it does work in KiTTY - therefore it does not work in RDM, unless we replace the PuTTY .exe with KiTTY.

And we are using 14.1.3.0

Hello Martin,

Instead of replacing putty exe by kitty, you could go to the Advanced tab of the Putty entry and replace the Application to Kitty

Putty+kitty

Is the option useful for you?

Hi David,

That option is only available with the deprecated SSH session. But thank you for the suggestion.

The new SSH session looks like this:

Hi,

Correct the entry SSH Shell is our own integration of SSH and you can't switch it to kitty.

That being said, have you any error with the SSH Shell entry?

If you are not using a team data source, might I suggest testing our new version of RDM 2019.1.30.0 which includes a new SSH integration?
