Hello.
Can anyone confirm several issues in the new version of RDM for Mac?
I can not access my Windows machines and some options are closing the application.
Awaiting. Thank you.

Hello,

What data source type are you connected to?

Hi,

Could you also provide us with a screenshot of your About This Mac window and a screenshot of the RDM Preferences window with Session Type -> RDP tab selected?

Could you also elaborate on which options are closing the application?

Best regards,

Hi Xavier.
When I try to connect to a windows computer via rdp the screen goes black and nothing happens. Connections to linux computers via ssh work perfectly.
The application is closing itself when I try to restore an online backup. The application freezes and after a few seconds it simply closes. Already in the history display routine an error occurs, but the application does not close. I removed the last version and installed the previous version. I will reinstall and try to copy the screens.

Hi,

Could you also provide the screenshot of the RDM Preferences window with the Advanced tab selected?

Ah, and for the restore from online backup, I cannot reproduce. Could you provide your application log (Help -> Application Logs -> Open)? It might contains information on what's happening.

Screenshoot from last error:

Hi,

I've found the issue related to the restore backup. You can expect this to be fixed in the next release.

As for the problem with RDP, I'd still appreciate the screenshot I've requested in my first and second post when you get a chance.

Best regards,

Hi Xavier.
The screenshoot will not help much. The area where the remote computer screen should appear is simply black. The connection is terminated when the "ESC" button is pressed. Another detail is when reopening the program, a message is displayed mentioned that the connection to the particular computer has been lost and want to re-establish. Even if you choose to reestablish the connection, the screen remains black.

I uninstalled the program and installed the previous version to complete some activities. When possible, I run a new test and try to send the screenshoot and maybe some log.

Clock6 mths

Hi,

The screenshot I want are of the Preferences window of RDM and the About this Mac window of macOS. They will help me determine on which OS and with what settings to best attempts to reproduce your issue.

One thing that specifically comes to mind is the "Enable Action Queue" settings under Preferences -> Advanced -> General. If this is checked, I would uncheck it. This could explains your issue with RDP sessions.

Best regards,

Xavier Fortin
