Hello
When will the RDM IOS app be able to access the Wayk unattended systems? I access most of my clients by my ipad so this functionality would be very helpful. I can use the wayk now app but it does not have any organization like the RDM for IOS app.
Thanks John
Hi John,
The current RDM iOS app should work fine with 3.0.0, but not 3.0.1 because we added a license check on the server that requires an update on the mobile clients. The Wayk iOS app was updated with the change yesterday, and the RDM iOS app will be updated soon. Since mobile clients do not require a license, we had to modify mobile clients to send a "mobile" flag that will get picked up by the server to bypass feature restrictions. The next release of the RDM iOS app will send this "mobile" flag and should work fine with 3.0.1. In the meantime, the Wayk iOS app can be used.

Looks like 3.0.2 fixed some of my issues, Thanks!! I am still not able to use the IOS RDM app to connect to systems that are not logged in. The wayk app will let me but I need the organization of RDM to be able to access several systems in different groups. The IOS wayk app is very limiting.
Great work on Wayk!!!

Hi John,
We will investigate.

Hi John,
Have you updated the RDM IOS version to 5.1?
We have tested RDM IOS version 5.1 and are able to connect to unattended systems.

Hello Nicolas
I am running IOS RDM 5.1 and Wayk Client 3.02 enterprise. I have tried several systems at different locations and I get this error below. I can use the wayk now app and it connect with no issue, so I am able to help my clients out. I attached two pics of two different systems. on system is the wayk client install of 3.0.2 and the other was upgraded from a previous version. Let me know if you need any more info!
Thanks John

Hi John,
The authentication mode: Secure Remote Password will not work with unattended computers.
Secure Remote Delegation should be used instead. You will have to provide a username and password.

Hello Nicolas
I did switch to the SRD and I am able to connect. I am still trying to process the different settings. I was under the impression that with the latest version a special wayk-admin account would be created for the unattended access. When I use the IOS wayk now app I do not have to add the username and password and it still connects to the unattended system, of course I have to enter the credentials to log in but why would the IOS RDM force that?
A quick question on the setting for "display" the choices are external, embedded (tabbed), and undocked. It seems that the only option to work is external when using the desktop version. Does this effect the IOS version?
thanks John
Hi John,
Yes, the latest version of Wayk Now creates a "wayk-users" group and optionally creates a "wayk-admin" user if the WAYK_ADMIN_PASS=password custom msi option is passed to the .msi installer. When the wayk-admin user is created, it is automatically added to the wayk-users group, but any user member of that group should work. We will still to expose this feature in a better way, but in the meantime, you can create a custom user of your choice and add it to the wayk-users group, and you should be able to use it for unattended remote connection. Otherwise, you can use any user that is a member of the Administrators or Remote Desktop Users built-in groups, those should work as well.

Hi John,
The display settings do not affect the IOS version.
