RDM Free 5.5.1.0 - SSH FAIL_PERMISSION_DENIED

I am getting FAIL_PERMISSION_DENIED for every SSH connection on MAC OSX Mojave (10.14).
I have read and seen that this is not an uncommon issue but I wanted to see if there are any updates around this issue.

The log produced the following

Hi,

I do not reproduce the issue. On what OS are you connecting to? And what authentication method are you using (Password, Private Key, etc.)?

Out of curiosity, could you try the Experimental engine and tell me if you have the same issue? You can find the option in the Preferences windows under the Session Type -> SSH Shell tab in the General box.

Could you also set Verbose to 4 and enable logging (to a file) and provide the resulting file? You can find those settings in your session under the Advanced tab.

Best regards,

Hi,

Just looking from the first to second log, it appears your password is now rejected by the server. Is it possible that the password has changed in the last few months?

I'd still like some answers to my previously asked question. As it stands now, it looks like some part of the authentication might be missing. What method do you use to connect to the server (password, private keys, two factors, etc.). Is it possible that your server requires 2 or more methods?

No. The password I am logging in with is my domain credentials. I am able to logon only when I specify a username and check the checkbox to always prompt for password.

Hi,

When you check the "Always ask for password" check box, the prompt that follows feeds its value to the same property that the Password field itself would have. There is no reason to believe that it could in any way impact the SSH client itself (all of this happens before any connection attempt have been made).

Either I'm missing some information or the password that was filled in the Password field is not the same than the one that was written in the password prompt.

I get the error as described if the password field is blank and always ask for password is NOT checked.

I can repeat the error w/out issue on multiple computers to multiple platforms from any user both company managed and vendor provided appliances.
I only get it with the MAC client, windows works just fine.

Is there additional logging or any other troubleshooting method (screen share) you would like me to perform?

Here are the logs from the connection to appliance. I don't even get prompted to enter a password. (as you can see all the logs happen w/in 1 second)
