Integration of Windows Remote Server Management Tools

  • Create an Issue

Hi,

we are often using the DHCP, ActiveDirectory and DNS Management Console from Windows Remote Server Management Tools.
Would it be possible to integrate these in the RDM?

At the moment we have to open these tools seperatly.

Thank you

Hello,
Do you know if it's possible to send the credentials to the command line executable for these tools?

all these files are windows management console addins:
%windir%\system32\dhcpmgmt.msc

And they are using the default windows-credentials or you can start it with the command:
runas /user:<username> "%windir%\system32\dhcpmgmt.msc"

Is it possible to integrate an application window in the rdm window?

Hello,

You could achieve a similar behavior by creating a Command Line (Macro/Script/Tool) entry, entering your command and running it on your sessions to open your Windows Remote Server Management Tools.

Please use the following link to our online help in order to configure your entry:

Hello,

I hope its ok for the OP to use this thread instead of open a new one.

An idea to improve the UI and the functions would be:

Only fade in the related tile when the the Server Role match.

That means if in the Server Roles DHCP is selected the DHCP tile is visible; If Server Roles for DHCP, DNS, Active Directory ... is selected, the resprectively tiles would be visible - in best case in a new section - like the screenshot.

An option to en- or diable this function could be on datasource level - What do you think?

Hello,
It's a good idea Min. We already have a way to filter internally a little bit with the OS and this could be nice as well.

Calling RSAT tools after Windows 10 1809 update opens just a blank window in embedded mode. However, when you undock tab, everything is looks fine.

@Nazar Tareyev,

Your issue seems to be related to the Windows 10 1809 build.

We have a similar issue with Chrome and Firefox since this latest build from Microsoft
