Issue Setting Up Local Dropbox Data Source 5.1

I recently re-installed RDM on my MacBook pro running macOS High Sierra and am unable to set up a local Dropbox data source. I already have Dropbox running on the computer to sync other files so my connections.xml is locally stored. I have used RDM previously with local Dropbox syncing and it worked fine., but now I am running into an issue.

In RDM I am using the settings below (which mirror the same setup I have used before on a Windows 10 PC) and am receiving an error:

https://www.dropbox.com/s/jinohod2g0ui95w/Screen%20Shot%202018-03-22%20at%203.02.50%20PM.png?dl=0

With these settings I receive the below error message:

https://www.dropbox.com/s/2hvfy53muchqphk/Screen%20Shot%202018-03-22%20at%203.08.28%20PM.png?dl=0

The full local path on my machine should be /Users/user/Dropbox/Apps/RDM/connections.xml

Now if I leave the settings to default so that the local path should be /Users/user/Dropbox/connections.xml (which should just create a new file that does contain any connections) I receive this error:

https://www.dropbox.com/s/37jln85cmn150sc/Screen%20Shot%202018-03-22%20at%203.08.55%20PM.png?dl=0

Any ideas on what can be done to get local Dropbox as a working data source?

Thank you

This is weird. But I can reproduce.

I'll look into the issue.

In the mean time you can always use an XML data source pointing to your local Dropbox file, like so:

DropboxInXmlDataSource

This should work in pretty much the same way.

Hi Bradley,

I've fixed the issue. This won't be available in the next release (5.2.0.0) but I'll try getting another release soon after.

You'll have to re-save your data source, since the bug lied within how we saved the path.
