login issue when connecting to rdp sessions

I've been using mRemoteNG and am evaluating Remote Desktop Manager for a possible switch, but am having trouble with RDP logins.

I've set up an RDP session and when I open the connection, I would like for it to prompt me for the username and password (which I will paste in--I don't want it store in RDM) and then I'm in. Instead, it always makes me click on the account before bringing up the login (see screenshot 1). After the login pops up I can't seem to paste into it from the clipboard.

In mRemote, when I try to start a session, it pops up this box (below), which I just paste in the credentials and away it goes and it logs me in. I don't store either username or password in mRemote. Can RDM do something similar? Is this a Windows credentials box? I can't figure out how to make RDM pop up this similar box.

Thanks...

Hi,
Have you tried the setting Always ask for credentials in the RDP settings?

Yes, I tried ticking that box but it doesn't seem to have an effect.

I also tried some options under the Dashboard such as "Open Session (Prompt for Credentials)" and "Open Session Console/Admin Mode (Prompt for Credentials)", but they didn't help.

Thanks.

I will verify what we can do and try to reproduce it.

Thanks, if you need more info or need me to try something, just let me know!

Hello, Has this issue been addressed? I know I can open a session in external mode and paste a password but, I don't really want to do that (it sort of defeats the purpose of using RDM).

It's supposed to be fixed. Let me know what is not working for you.

I am trying to copy a password from KeePass into an embedded RDP session and it does not work. I click in the password field and hit CTRL-V and nothing happens. I'm on 10.0.4

Clock3 yrs

Could you post a print screen of where you press Ctrl+V?

Does it work if you paste it in notepad?

DH,
I sent you a PM with the screen shot.

Hi,
This is strange. Does it work if you use it in external mode?

Why does it sometimes open a "Windows Security" dialog box and sometimes go straight to the logon screen of the computer?

Clock3 yrs

What do you mean by a security dialog?

It's a separate box where I can type in login information. I'll PM you a picture.
