Issue with a single user account

After upgrading from Server 1.0 to Server 2.0, I have a single user account that doesn't want to connect. He gets a timeout error. But if we use my account on his PC, it connects fine.

Is there some server logs we can look at to resolve this issue?

Could you try to open the server web page in IE or Chrome?

Yes. From the same system, we can login via IE/Chrome/Firefox just fine. Its using the Remote Desktop Manager only.

We tried uninstalling and reinstalling RDM (deleting all profile files/folders, etc) but still have the same issue. I can login from the same system but he can not.

Very odd.

And what if you use his account on your PC?

Yes. It doesn't matter the PC. It appears to be something server side.

I have even tried to delete his account and readd it. He still continues to have the issue.

Have you tried to change the password?

Its linked to Active Directory. So no. The password works via going to the website.

Its just remote desktop manager that doesn't work. It times out.

What version of RDM do you use?

Server Version: 2.0.0.0 (just updated which caused this issue)
RDM Version: 8.1.0.0 and 8.2.0.0 (tried both)

In Administration->Users, do you see his user listed?

His account is listed. I added a new account (test account) and that works perfectly fine. Local or AD. Its just this existing account.

I deleted the account and recreated it. Still having the same issue.

Anything else I can do? He is still having this issue. I created a local account to get around it for now.

Any logging I am enable to work through it?

Thanks!

Hi,
I will try to add some logs. This is complicated since it's in the server but we have another user with the same issue.

Thanks for the reply.

I assume I will be waiting for new code that includes additional logging?

Hi,
I was thinking about something. What type of authentication have configured? Do you have only the domain configured?

Yes. It is selected to be domain only. The account he was using is a domain account (the account with the issue).

We used another domain account he has access to until we get this resolved for his account (not a local account that I mentioned in a previous post).

Clock6 yrs

Quick question. Does the domain and the domain machine is set? Do you use the domain machine name or the IP?

For us, the IP works better.

Remember. He can use another AD account without an issue. Its just this one AD account. Kinda odd.

Hi,
I will try to do a small application to simulate the login. I will get back to you later this week
