Forgot Android App Password

I forgot the Android App password and tried to remove and reinstall the app to start a new configuration butt it still asking for the password.

How can I reset the installation and start over again?

Hello,

Usually when you uninstall and reinstall the application, the configuration should be reset.

A possible scenario is that the auto-backup feature is enabled on your Google Account. This may result that your phone restore your data when you reinstall the application.

If it’s the case, you would need to follow the steps below:

  • Uninstall RDM on your android device
  • Go on the Google Drive associate with the Google account associate to your device
  • On your left, in Categories, you should see Backups (see print screen in attachment)
  • There’s 1 backup per Android device. You would need to found the backup related to your device. In certain case, the name of the backup can be the code of the device. You can do a search on Google to found this information if needed
  • Right-click on the backup and select delete
  • Now that the backup is deleted, you can reinstall RDM on your device
