Hello,
I just downloaded the free client for iOS9 and would like to use a xml file that I've emailed myself in the tool.

How would I go about using that? Are there steps that I would need to do in order to import this file?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Richard,

If you are a single user and want to share your sessions between your iPad and your computer, I recommend you the usage of Devolutions Online Drive for your data source.

Please have a look at the following blog

This will centralize your connections in one location and this file will be accessible from all your devices.

Is there a way not to use a cloud drive? Many companies have rules against using cloud storage.

Hello Marcy,

Are you a single user or you want to use a centralize data source to share the data between the members of your team?

I want to know the same thing.

I can export to an xml file on my PC, but where do I put that on the iphone/ipad so that the import can find it?

Hi Marcy and Steve,

It’s possible to export/import xml files in the 1.0.3 version

1) To import a XML file in the app, you need to connect your device on your PC/Mac and add the XML file in the app via iTunes with the File Sharing (See screenshot and https://support.apple.com/en-ca/HT201301 )

2) Once you added the file with the File Sharing, you can create a new XML Data source and in the XML data source view, tap on the "Import" button and select the file you want to import in the app.

3) You can now select the xml file when you tap on the "Select" button in the Filename field.

Note: The file is still in the iTunes File Sharing after the import but you can delete it and you will still be able to use it the app.

When you export a XML File with the app, the file is exported in the iTunes File Sharing, you can then save it on your PC/Mac by clicking on Save as.
