Send credentials but don't login

I've done some digging and don't really see a ubiquitous way to have RDM type the credentials in the appropriate fields but not actually trigger the login.

I know this isn't possible for some applications that receive credentials and automatically process them, however for those an RDM generated pop-up which could have the credentials in them to be modified before sending to the target application would be useful.

I'm sure you're wondering what the business driver would ever be for this, so:

Entries that rely on two factor auth. YubiKey sends a OTP by touching the gold metallic ring on the USB key. It can also be prefixed with a pin, so the password sent to whatever your logging into is [pin][one time password]. I'd like to have RDM send my username and ping sent to the appropriate credential fields, and then keep the keyboard cursor in the password field so I can send the OTP and complete the login.
