Hello,
we can enter and save those passwords, but login always fails.
Hi,
Have you tried in external or embedded mode ?
David Hervieux
external mode.
Hi,
I assume that you have the latest version? Do you save the password local or shared in the session? What vesion of RDP do you have and what OS?
David Hervieux
yes we are always using the latest version, i make sure of that.
Now we upgraded to 5.8.2.1
We also use enterprise version with sql data source (sql server 2008 on a 2008 server vm), passwords are saved in the database.
Client OS is win7 x64 Enterprise fully patched, rdp version is 6.1.7600.16385
I just noticed another odd thing, we have one connection with a unique password (no special characters or mutated vowels, but a long domain name) which does also not work when opening the session.
There are about 200 connections in our db and the vast majority work withouth any problems.
thx for your support. if you need any logs, pm me.
Hi,
Just to help me find out the problem. for those who does not work, does it work in embedded mode?
David Hervieux
no, just tried
Hi,
Thank you, this mean that there is a problem with the stored password
David Hervieux
Hi,
can you try this small tester and see if you can auto connect. Just rename it to .zip
David Hervieux
RDPTester.zi
I think the problem kind of solved itself.
After upgrading to 5.8.2.1 a few days ago, today i hit update database and just reentered those passwords with mutated vowels to the database and now it works.
thank you very much.
Hum,
I really don't understand, but keep me posted if the problem come back
