Hi,
I'm wondering if you could include a functionality which enables the login/password to be passed to a website which is using a popup window for login ?
Could you also include a functionality which would enable usage of Online account to fill-in password automatically when navigating on a secure website (like an add-in in the browser) ?

thank you for your quick reply.
As per your reply are db_datareader and db_datawriter permissions enough within SQLServer ?
Since the creation of the empty database is not supported from within RDM when using Windows Authentication, I guess the only way to get started is manually creating the database from within SQL Server Management Studio.

Hi David,
there is a problem with the Quick Connect shortcut "CTRL+ALT+Q". If you are using a german keyboard so behind the "CTRL+ALT+Q" is the @ sign. When you open a browers tabbed session, and you need to fill in your email address in the user field, you are not able to do this, because always you press the "CTRL+ALT+Q" the QuickConnect window comes up.
Please change the shortcut for the Quick Connect to any other combination or make it customizable.

Hi,
They need to have access to the database in read / write. You also need to create them from RDM because the application has to add the user entry in his database.

To be honest I don't like this either but the component we use is very limited. I can't do overlay with it. We want to change it eventually and make sure we can improve the visual. I have written a note for the favorite.

You right about the user specific setting, I will verify this for sure and fix the bug. I think the application does not resolve the User specific setting before applying it.

Just a small thing:
Can you change how Favorites are displayed in the Tree view?
The icon on the left shifts all the entries to the right and breaks the layout.
Maybe overlay the star icon or align it on the right in the backround.

I am switching from a local Access database to a SQL Server database using SQL Server 2008 R2 Enterprise configured with Intergrated authentication only.
Which permissions are required for Active Directory users connecting to the RDM SQL Server database from within SQL Server management studio ?

Hi,
I would like to have the tab change the color when I have it selected. It does that with the little blue bar above it, but it's not very clearly.
Better would be to change the entire tab.

Edit Session (User specific settings) ?

Yeah!
That was damn fast!
It works now!
The only Problem i discover is, that the plugin did not terminate the connection successfully as choosen in RDM pulldown menue under VPN after disconnect of RDP!
It always said: "Invalid command line"
I think the parameter is wrong that is send to the client!
The correct command would be:
nvc.exe -t
Dont know what the plugin is sending...

Hi,
Don't get me wrong, I could perfectly live with running RDM with local administrative rights. The only thing I would like, is the tools section using the user specific credentials, so that our technicians can manage services and event logs without them having to be domain admins. When I use the Windows computer management console to directly connect to a server and use custom credentials it works, so I assume this has nothing to do with UAC.
